Information Matrix, with Laurence Fishburne, Features a New Piece on Preventative Medicine
A new segment looks into preventative medicine as opposed to treating symptoms.
The fantastic host of the program Information Matrix, Laurence Fishburne, will open a new episode focusing on preventive medicine. The program focuses on topics and issues that affect the day-to-day lives of Americans. Like the other segments, this segment will be highly educative.
Physicians practice preventive medicine to keep patients healthy. The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) recognizes it as a unique medical specialty. Preventive medicine specialists are medical doctors who are competent in one or many of the fields of epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental and occupational medicine, management of healthcare organizations, injury in population groups and research into causes of disease. They apply the skills and knowledge gained from social, economic, behavioral and medical sciences.
Preventive medicine aims to halt disease and to avert resulting complications or to prevent the occurrence of a disease. It also aims at motivating individuals to practice their prevention. Prevention medicine has three specialty areas that emphasize different environments, population, and practice settings.
The program will highlight multiple individuals who are specialists within the field and will discuss the advances within the discipline, as well as the outlook. Expert testimony will lead to some ideas on how preventative medicine may shape the future.
Viewers can tune in to Information Matrix with Laurence Fishburne to learn more about preventive medicine.
